Your Dad had it and it went away in two months.  I think your dad may have a slightly faulty memory. It would be quite rare for spontaneous resolution to take place that fast.

You do not indicate your weight and height. what is sometimes called pseudogynecomastia in becoming much more common as obesity is more common. The difference between so-called True and Pseudo gynecomastia is almost purely academic as the emotional effects are essentially the same.  

Your parents are already aware of your physical condition.  Now tell them how you feel.  Just do it.
