For all those gentlemen who have had their surgeries done, is it okay to apply deodorant on the day of surgery??

i was told to shower the morning before and to not apply deodorant

I was specifically told NOT to use deodorant, aftershave, hair gel or any any other "cosmetics" on the day of surgery.

Surgery as I understand it should not require much cortorisation but if it did some deoderants may set on fire!

I specifically include in my instructions that you should not apply deodorant on the day of surgery because it will interfere with the application of the antiseptic that is used to prepare you for surgery.

You may certainly use deodorant after the operation.

Hmmm, that's odd. My Pre-Op instructions did not mention anything about not wearing deodorant.
