I am 17 years old (6'3" and 190) and have had a solid tissue under my nips for prolly 3 years now. Im in really good shape as i play competitive hockey so it is not as bad as some peoples. Unfortunately being in the locker room and doing fitness tests every month it does not go unnoticed and of course people point it out to other people and the teasing gets more hurtful everytime. I'm not devastated by it and will continue to battle through it and work hard but itts just too much money to hve surgery being a student and hockey player. I was just wondering if theres a possibilty of it going away still. Although i have had it for awhile i have gone through puberty at a very slow rate. Being seventeen i still only have to shave like once a week lol and my family are all kind of late bloomers. Does this mean that hormone levels could balance out and return to normal. In bio 30 we're learing about FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) is this the hormone that plays a major role in producing extra breast tissue? Also is there any safe treatment, ive heard about prep-h does this work? Also are hormonal supplements bad/good/indiffierent. Im working out lots because i need the strenght to compete in hockey does anyone know of any extra excercizes i could add to my routine to reduce the effects of gyne. Your help is appreciated.   ;D
My doctor has not been very helpful on the issue with regards to explaining exactly whats going on, options, etc.
PS---no surgery, not for now anyways, ill will fo sure get it when im 20 if i still have it

First, go see an endocrinologist.  He/she can answer some of your questions better than anyone else.

Next, continue to employ some of the things you already employ when playing the game of hockey.  I'm sure you have to act with confidence to play this sport.  Act with that same confidence even if you don't want to when dealing with gyne.  You have offensive moves and defensive moves.  Learn what those are for this game of living with gynecomastia.  You can probably pick up a few ideas on this site.  I know I have.
You know what?  You are more than the shape of your nipples.  Trust me, that is how people see you when you are confident around them
I recently had a gal start working in my company that has a birth defect that makes her legs not work to well so she wobbles when she walks.  At first, all I saw was the wobble, but after a few interactions with her because her leg condition isn't a factor for her, I began to not see it any more either.  Now, I don't even remember until I see her walk and then it is no big deal because it is just part of the smart confident her that I have learned to know.
I assure you this is how it can be and probably is with you and this gyne condition.

FSH in men, enhances the production of androgen binding protein and is important for sperm production/survival. So no, it does not affect breast tissue. Typically, it's caused by an elevated estrogen level or a higher ratio of estrogen to Testosterone. There are other factors that can affect this too. Preparation H works well with loose skin or bags under the eyes, or so I have heard. Bodybuilders use it for last minute competition preperation because PH soaks up excess water beneath the skin. It will not eliminate or make gyno less noticeable though. At least not that I am aware of
