Why does it Hurt?

Hi, I'm 14.I have Gynecomastia from going thru puberty. My question is is y exactly do the little circle things behind my nipple hurt? What causes it to hurt? Anyone know?

Pre puberty, male and female breasts are essentially identical.  

The differentiation takes place in puberty, but the male breasts retain the sensory nerves and many people are surprised to learn that men's breasts can be just as sensitive as women's.

Pain, on the other hand, should be regarded differently than sensitivity.  

Painful breasts is a very good reason to see the Doctor.

It only hurts if you press down on them really hard. And they dont hurt as much as they did a month ago....

ya, i keep tellin my mom i need to see a doctor but she says "it is just part of puberty and they will go away really soon"

I would say that they're painfull when they're still active; ie. still growing, or possibly going away.

Your condition is probably much more normal than you are willing to believe.

First, check with a Dr.

Second, Be patient. At your age they could fully resolve.(go away)

Most important,  Keep a good attitude.
