I was just curious what the general consensus is about smoking ( cigarettes) and drinking after surgery.
I am roughly 3 and a half weeks post op and I went out the other night and had about five or so beers.
The thing I'm more worried about is that I am a kind of ex social smoker. However, I smoked about 3 or so cigarettes the other night ( I was in a bad mood because my gyno appered to had flared up again >:( ) and I felt really stupid about doing it and have made a stance to stay off them for at least 3-6 months so I can heal without any complications.

If anyone can post any advice or experiences about these topics that would be great. ;D

I've smoked since the 2nd week post-op!! I had a hard time stopping because everyone around me smokes. I know it's stupid but oh well. I'm 7 weeks post op, no problems. I also have been drinking.  ;D
