In most cases for loans or payments for the surgery, did you have to pay the full amount before you got the surgery or did they allow you to after?

Speaking for myself and probably most other plastic surgeons, full payment for surgery is required prior to the actual operation.  You can arrange for loans thru private companies (eg Care Credit), relatives or friends or with credit cards and then pay it off to them as you see fit.

The above policy may seem harsh -- but it is based upon too many incidents of patients who get their surgery and then disappear without paying for it -- I trust you understand.
