Hi every one,

Just thought that I would come on and express my views and stories of living with this condition!

I am now 23 and have lived with this for as long as I can remember, I found some photos of a holiday when I was about 10 and had "moobs" then, Yes I know the term "moobs" bothers some people but I have learnt to just look it in the face and say hey I have "MOOBS".

So being a sufferer for 13 years has taken its toll on many aspects of my life. Being teased, Taunted, feeling un attractive and many other things probably the worst one was being called GAY cause I had breasts!! (god i hate teenagers!!!) 3 years ago i got so depressed about the whole thing I bit the bullet and went to see my doctor with a ton of information i got off the internet about Gynecomastia. Good job really as she had never heard of it let alone knew how to do anything about it!! I got reffered to a specialist at my local genral hospital who at first tried everything to put me off and even told me to loose weight.

LOOSE WEIGHT!!! THE F**%ING nerve do they not understand that to loose weight you need to go to a Gym with thin, muscular bloody people and your there wearing a hugfe baggy tshirt to hide your moobs from bouncing up and down!! I did let him know that this was the case and that I had lost 2 stone previously by locking myself away and working hard but if anything that just made the whole thing worse for me!!

after going on some pills to reduce the oestrogen levels in my body which just made me sick and my gums bleed i went back and back and back again until in May this year he decided that I could have surgery and that I had a few choices. Wait until December to have it at Stafford (my local hospital) or go to Wolverhampton and have it done there in about 6 weeks from the time I saw a consultant (another 6 months probably). I then heard nothing untill 3 weeks ago when I got my appointment for the 7th ecember to go and have surgery.

I am having lypo to remove any fat that it around the area and then having the remaining tissue taken away!

I know that i have waited and pushed for so long but an now getting so very nervous about the whole thing. I want to get it done but just dont want the discomfort after!

I know that there may be complications, loss of sensation in my nipples, scaring etc etc but to be honest this "condition" has plagued my life for too long now.

I will let you all know how it goes in a week or so!
