hello all
I am having surgery tomorrow morning, I am pretty scared, got cold feet a little bit, but I am gonna
do it anyway since I wanted it to be done for couple of years now..

so just posting here to make me feel a little better, I'll post post-op pics and continue to visit the site
from time to time to see how you are all doing..

Thanks for the help I got from this site and good luck to us all

cheers

  • You t*t, what's he gonna do nibble your bum?
I shared your concerns.

Had surgery last week, and even up until the final moment I was questioning the risks.

One week later and all is well.  You will be fine.  As someone on this board put one time "the surgery is the easiest part", it is the pre-surgery anticipation/fear, and the post op impatience for "final" results that are the real drag.

Since my surgery I have bought 6 new shirts, enjoy tomorrow.

Anxiety is normal, try not to let it get the best of you.

hey
thanks for the reply and glad to hear you are doing fine :)

I am actually not concerned at all about the procedure (anesthesia etc), I am only concerned about the final result...
and yeah as I am a very impatient person the days/weeks after are gonna be hard I know...

anyway as time passes, I feel better, I actually feel nothing right now, like nothing big is gonna happen tomorrow. strange games the mind can play I guess

all the best

Results will be good and bad initially. Noticable at first, swelling makes it look like little was accomplished. As the days go on it'll get better and better. I'm at 2 weeks post op and it's all coming together.
Surgery Date: April 9, 2008.
Surgeon: Dr. J C Fielding. (Toronto)
Result: Life is getting better with every day.

Had my excision/lipo last friday.  I wasn't nervous at all going in since I was 100% sure I wanted that crap removed.  Been wearing the vest all the time except showering and the swelling is starting to come down (a bit more swelling on the left than the right).  I try to think of this as two procedures instead of one (the left and the right).  This morning it hit me how I will look once the bruising and swelling is gone.  I am amazed at how good I look already.

Congratulations on deciding to have surgery and good luck tomorrow.

It really does. After day 6 I could remove them for showering etc. Thats a big change, then you can watch the swelling go down. I have another week with it on. I hate it. But, It's kinda nice to take the vest off in front of the mirror daily and see. If it helps.. Just remember, for all the years you suffered. It's just a matter of weeks before you feel better.
