belfastmale hows things??

im in the same boat as you im 10 months post op and again only about 70 per cent happy with my results i need a revision and have contacted aida and was told to send pictures too because benito is not going to london anymore.. i sent pics but they wernt good enough so iv to send better ones but like you i feel i could explain better in person that was around a month ago but iv been real busy lately so havnt got around to doing it but i will send them tomorrow.

i really hope benito doesnt charge 4000 euros for a revision?? this cant be true at most 2000 euros is enough for a revision

as regard to results and people saying it takes months to see changes there are exceptions my chest now is the exact same as my 1 day post op pictures besides all the bruising that cleared up my chest is the same shape..

hey mate. i sent pics but was also told they were not good enough.  aida also confirmed that dr benito is no longer coming to uk while the exchange rate is so poor. regarding price for revision, i think he does it for free but you pay for the hospital charges etc. so depends on what needs to be done. i think i only need a touch more lipo, have been told that sometimes he does this under local, this would obviously reduce the price a lot.
irishlad let me know how you get on with sending better pictures, also feel free to message me if you have any other questions

profile picture means a side view i think. another guy on here had a revision with dr benito, he was charged just under 2000euros i think but that cost was for all the hospital and anethesia costs etc, benito does not charge for his work i think.
the guy who had the revision says that he does do some revisions under local but they are for lipo touch up, if you need more gland removed you have to go under.

Hello all,

Ages since I logged in here. Gyne is an emotional issue isnt it? It's easy to have very strong opinions on what the right way to deal with it is, especially if you've been through the corrective process yourself. I know I've had some good old slanging matches myself on here.

The problem a sufferer in the UK faces when looking for a surgeon, is that there just arent that many around. The NHS is hit and miss at best,  and a sympathetic GP often is only the first stone in a very long road to going under the knife. And thats without even getting into the issue of what a "successful" result is.

Gyne is a difficult procedure to get right.

As far as private specialists go there have never been many. Over the years names that keep cropping up  have been Grobelaar, Levick and Karadis (In England), Baranski in Poland, and Benito in Spain.

Each one of these surgeons in turn has been hailed as "the answer" and each one in turn has got the backlash. The only one that hasnt has been Karadis, but I'm guessing thats a matter of time as his comparatively high cost has kept a lot of people away, as its sent people to Poland and Spain and Birmingham (respectively cost wise).

Roughly 10% of elective gyne procedures will need revision. Many people who are used to worrying excessively about one part of their body can be a bit disappointed with the results even of successful procedures. There's just no way around that.

If you need a revision its very probable your surgeon will insist you have to wait up to a year for it. You will most likely have to pay theatre and staff costs as well.

At the end of the day gyne is somewhat subjective. Your surgeon thinks it looks fixed at the point he's sewing you up. You disagree four months later. Its horrible having to go back, but a sympathetic competent surgeon 4 hours away is better than a bad one next door.

There is no right and wrong answer and I really believe you need to have at least two consultations before settling on a surgeon (I had three). I dont think cost or location should be a significant factor in a decision.

Heres hoping we all get the results we deserve.
