Hey all! I haven't posted here in a while, but I figure I'd share some wisdom and update what's been going on with my gyno and my post surgery experience. I'll try and make it short and quick to the point as possible. Here is my original couple of topics if you care.

First off, here is what I looked like before my surgery last summer.

Slight gyno, but enough for it to really make me pretty self conscious. It poked through my shirts, and overall with my skinny physique it just looked plain silly. I was borderline depressed about it to be honest, and figured surgery was the best/only option.

After much research, and trying to figure out if I should go through with surgery/finding the right doctor, I decided to do it. I got surgery back in September of 2014. (PM me if you want to know who my doctor was) Initially, the results were too good to be true. Completely flat, and only 3 days after surgery I might add. Even for the next month or so, everything looked amazing and even the scarring was pretty minimal. Here is a couple of pictures of me 3 days post op, and another picture a month after surgery.

Great results, and only 3 days post op. Absolutely no puffiness whatsoever. I couldn't believe it.

Still good. Slight puff but, as I understood then this was inevitable. It was likely scar tissue and I expected it to be like that. No worries.

After about 3 months or so, my nipples began to sort of protrude like they had before surgery. I was pretty concerned with this so I asked my doc the next time I saw him (4 month check up) and he told me not to worry about it, and that it was scar tissue. He gave me some steroid injections to bring down the puffiness, and I was on my merry way. Here is a pic at about 4 months.

So after a couple treatments of the kenalog shots, I had maybe seen a decrease in puffy at about 10-15%. So not too much. I started to worry a bit now, since it was at about 6 months post op. (The good thing was that most doctors on this site, and most people I have read stories about said that even 6-8 months later they were experiencing scar tissue issues) I was also getting concerned that the scar color/look was not healing that well. Here are two pics at 6 months.

So about 2 weeks ago, I saw my doctor again. He said everything looked ok, but was concerned about the scars healing still. I mentioned they were still a bit puffy/scar was red and he pretty much just said with confidence that it will be fine at the end of the healing process. (this is 10 months post op btw) He scheduled me for an appointment in November to make sure this is true, so its basically a waiting game until then. I have pretty low hopes at this point of it being scar tissue. I am 90% sure its residual gland at this point, and basically expect come November to possibly have a revision.

Here is a couple of pics I recently took to show you what I look like currently. Tell me if I am too picky or if I am right to be upset with the surgery. I am trying to tell myself to be happy but I just can't be when they are literally poking back out (not as bad as pre op but bad). The shirts I thought I'd be able to wear are still getting poked through and I am pretty upset about this. My confidence is slowly going down every day and at this point I don't what to do guys. Please any advice would be much appreciated! I'm not happy with the scar coloring/or the puffiness returning. (not good) Should I get a revision or a nipple reduction maybe or what? Please just let me know anything!

These last two pics are telling. Its me flexing. You can see the line where the 'stuff' was taken out. As you can see its popping back out. (What I think is the residual gland)

Last pic I will show what they look like when erect/cold. Looks perfect actually. :(

Maybe you could check your hormones, if it is not just scar tissue.

I go with Paa Paw, not seeing any thing to be concerned about. It looks like what I feel to be normal.

It's not normal though, trust me. My nipples are protruding back out and it looks like a flap of skin folding over them when I flex. (Some of the pictures show this). Also on top of that the incision line is still red/not flush with my skin. Very disappointing...

Any doctors advice?

I get the frustration, and can't say what is normal for you or anyone else. I think I would be satisfied to get to your recent photo, but after monies spent, operations and recovery, I would want to look like, I had hoped to after time and money spent. Stopping regrowth is always going to be the catch 22. I wish you luck, and hope all will turn out as you had hoped.

You look absolutely fine to me. Everyone has different nipples. Plus you probably are still coming to grips with the fact that you have no gyno. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
