Hello,

I had gynecomastia surgery 5 months ago and I am happy with results.  Everything is almost fine, but there is one thing that concerns me. My nipples are still swollen, but aureolas are fine. If I were to take cold shower, aureolas would become smaller, but there is almost no change with nipples, because they are always swollen. When I slide finger across them, I feel rarther unpleasant feeling.

I don't know if that can be a cause, but a month or so after surgery I had dried blood around nipples, making them larger and swollen.
Right nipple is bigger than left, left got a little smaller over time, but I cannot say it about right one.

I'm very concerned about that and very stressed.. I don't know what to do.  I tried to get in contact with my surgeon, but I cannot seem to reach him.

What can be the cause?  Should I massage it? And would it go away?

Thank you,
Michael

In this thread I talk about the same issue with the doctors:

If you feel hard tissue at the spots where your surgeon made the cuts, it's scar tissue that still needs to heal.
