I'd like to get opinion from surgeons regarding possible benefits of developing the chest (increasing muscle mass and definition) prior to surgery with the aim of better post-op results.

Is it the case that with better developed pectoral muscles the cosmetic result of the surgery is improved?  As much to say that the "sunken chest" look is not as likely when there is a developed muscle present.

I'm wondering if there are any members who could post pics of chest development after they had surgery or describe what their results have been.

My story is that I have mild gyne, but have been working out for 6 months, dropping fat, gaining muscle, and have seen massive improvements in terms of the contour of my pecs, how they sit, definition etc - still have the gyne, of course, and opting for surgery. Just want to go into surgery with the optimal prospect of a successful outcome.

Thanks!

While exercise and muscle development is wonderful, there is no need to build up very large pecs prior to gyne surgery.  The actual operation does not/should not affect your muscle at all.  Hence you can do as much muscle development after surgery as before surgery -- it really doesn't matter.

Best, however, to go into surgery as healthy as you can be.
