Hi, all.  I'm new to this forum, but have had a large chest my whole life.  I'm not overweight, well I could maybe stand to lose 10 lbs., but was a bit of a husky kid between ages 10-16.  I thinned out and have a fairly athletic build for being nearly 50 (I do Crossfit probably 3-4 times per week).  In all the time I have been exercising, I have never been able to get rid of my flabby chest, even when I was an avid runner and 40 lbs lighter than I am now.
I'm turning 50 in 2017 and have decided to give myself a makeover gift: chest reduction and lipo on the love handles, but reducing my chest is my top priority if cost becomes a factor.
I'm just starting out and want to know for those who have undergone surgery: how did you pick your doctor?  I have male 2 friends who have had lipo to get rid of love handles, but adding the chest makes me think I should be looking for more of a specialist.  I live in Boston, which has amazing medical facilities, I just don't know where/how to begin.  Thoughts?

Dr. Rick Silverman is in Boston.  He is a regular poster on this forum and performs a LOT of gynecomastia surgery.  I don't think you can go wrong with him.  My recommendation to everyone considering this surgery is to find a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in gynecomastia surgery.
Best of luck-
