Hi folks,

I'm having surgery tomorrow morning with Dr. Delgado. I'm really looking forward to living life normally and not having to worry about my chest all the time.

I read here all the time but don't frequently post. Though I figure putting up my experience will help others.

Dr. Delgado was incredibly expensive. The operation will cost me over $8,000. It's much more than I would want to spend on something like this but in the long run I feel like it's worth it. You can't really put a price on happiness and Dr. Delgaldo is one of, if not the best gyne surgeon in the world. He's been great to ask questions of and his staff is also caring, prompt and professional. While I haven't had the surgery yet, I do recommend him already.

I've had gyne for as long as I can remember. Even before puberty. My Dad also has it. It's sounds dramatic but it's been a living hell. I feel like it's the first thing everyone sees when they meet me. I can't wear just a t-shirt, don't look good in a suit, can't go swimming or hang out in a hot tub with friends. So many things have been missed out on.

I'm also having a mastopexy as one of my breasts hangs lower than the other. I do have some weight to lose, about 15 lbs. I'm 25yrs and weigh 175lbs.

Here are some pre-op pictures:

Everything seems to have gone smoothly! It's been 2 days now. Pain is very minimal - just uncomfortable with the vest and the drains but oh well. I should be getting the drains out on Tuesday or Wednesday and then I'll have my first good look at my chest post-op.

That's so good to hear!  The first Post-Op is always exciting.  I was happy at mine I am sure you will be.  Um, has your swelling travelled down...south yet, lol?
