Any related stories or thoughts/experiences are appreciated.

I have an appointment with Dr Bermant next week for a consultation.  I have mild gyne in both sides of my chest.  Right is a little more noticeable.  I do however have daily pain from the gyne, 24 hours a day and have had that pain for about 7 months.  I do not really notice a change in size in either side.  I've been seeing 2 different endo's, keeping both informed of each.  I've had everything tested bloodwork wise numerous times.  Last week I had an MRI and it showed a micro tumor on my pituitary gland.  The neurosurgeon and endo are skeptical that this is causing the gyne because the only abnormal hormone reading I have is testosterone.  It has been between 74-250 over the 4 times it's been tested.  I'll be starting Testim tomorrow morning( I have ZERO sex drive and get tired constantly.  I have noticed my beard coming in slower after shaving).  Does anyone have any experience regarding the pituitary issue?  Because all of my hormone readings are normal, with the exception of testosterone, they don't believe that is the exact cause and they don't think I should have that extensive brain surgery for a reason that isn't definate.

Thought?

Thanks everyone.

Hi,

I don't have a tumor, but I do have Secondary Hypogonadism which means my pituary gland doesn't function properly.

My T results were low which is what caused my gynecomastia.

I have used testim and am currently on Testogel (androgel in america)... I didn't really get on with Testim too well, but the Testogel is working well.

Had surgery for the gyno. If you keep your T levels stable using the Testim then you should be fine to go ahead with surgery on the gyno.

Hope that helps a little.

same as my condition Jackd. Ive opted not to have surgery but am using T gel.
Have you read anything of the trial of a new TRT product that an australian company (Acrux) are hoping have approved soon?
Its exciting because it is applied to the armpit & dries instantly ( unlike the gels as you will know!)
They are in phase 3 worldwide trials just now.

Haven't heard about that, does sound interesting though! Testim is terrible, it never dries and I find I feel quite bad if I'm using Testim. Testogel however dries pretty rapidly and I generally feel a lot better on that. I've ordered my pharmacist to only order me Testogel. I don't like the thought of having to use it all my life though! :(

sounds like me. Im using stuff called Tostran gel (im in uk) & it too never dries properly!
I got on it because its 2% strength where testogel is only1% However I may go back to testogel as my T levels are lower now ( I reckon its 'cos a lot of the Tostran gets rubbed off with my clothes) even tho I have to use 2x the actual amout of goo.

How have you found the TRT has affected your gyne BTW? mine have shrunk quite a bit but I doubt they will disapear completely as Ive had them too long now ( 4 years) Now they size in at 38B.
 Im 5,11 , 180lb, BMI 25
Anyway do a google on Acrux & read all about the new stuff.
 cheers,
 simon

my gyne did improve after about a year on TRT, but mostly because I started doing some weights and my frame got a bit bigger where I was finally getting increasing levels of testosterone... I eventually had surgery in December just gone. Not entirely happy yet but hey ho... still healing time to go and I need to lose a lot of weight so fingers crossed!

I'll google Acrux cheers.. Never heard of that 2% gel, sometimes I feel my T levels are still too low as I still often feel tired, but the endo's keep reassuring me that 1% gel is fine so not much I can do about it really :(
