well, noone responded to my question about insurance, so i did some research. 
i talked to Blue Cross, and they said that my first step is to go see a General Surgeon.  i was given one to contact by the case worker that was assigned to me.  i contacted his office, ans suprisingly, she said that he himself has done 4 gyno surgeries this month alone... she says it is VERY common, and they have EXCELLENT luck getting insurance to pay for it in FULL! (minus my 100$ copay).

so, my appointment is set up for next tuesday (may 22) at 3pm.  if all goes well, (i'm praying it does)  this may be covered by my insurance, and i'll have a flat chest in no time!
