Cause the though of anaesthetic  awareness scares me. Also, is there a paralytic used in patients getting this done, or is that for more extreme surgerys.

Don't know what they injected into my vein but I was knocked out within 10 seconds. Woke up several hours later.
No dizzyness, no nausea, nothing. Only a very tired feeling...
Don't worry about the anesthesia, these aren't the Middle Ages any more :-)

for both my initial excision and lipo as well as my second emergency hematoma surgery, both anesthesiologists used Versed (benzo) first to induce relaxation, then combo of Fentanyl (powerful analgesic) and Propofol (amnesia knock you the darn out drug, as popularized by MJ).
