Thanks to people on these forum for sharing their experiences. I've finally convinced myself for a surgery monday morning after months of thinking. Feeling calm at the moment but I bet I'll be so nervous inside hospital.

Can anyone give me an idea what stuff they do before they actually start the surgery?

hi i'm mark i had surgery tuesday in the uk where are you? i went private you get shown to your room the nurse then takes blood pressure temp and pulse, then the surgeon came in and took some photos drew on me and went through what he was going to do, and about an hour later i went to theartre. bit of pain when i woke up but the painkillers they gave me were pretty good, had to stay in overnight. in the morning saw the surgeon who took the dressings off and said everything went well he took 400cl from each side, it's been 3 days now very bruised but the pain has nearly gone but this compression vest is driving me mad, but a small price to pay. hope this helps good luck
