I got my glands excised and lipo done last year. However I am not happy with the results. Looks like I still have some fat left. I am thinking about going for laser lipolysis.

Have somebody tried this before? If yes, could you please share your experience with that?

I have some queries on that:
1) Does it really works for fat removal? my doctor told me that he won't suck out the fat and it will get excreted automatically.

2)  is it safe to undergo this procedure? i heard it can cause burns.

3) can it really help in skin tightening?
My doctor told me that it can tighten the skin and it may take few months post surgery..

Appreciate your help.

I am not a doctor, nor have I utilised this procedure for my own gyno, but to help in my response to your query I did a cursory review of laser lipolysis, which seems to be an alternative to lyposuction and the cool sculpting method. The impression I got from my admittedly hasty research was that it is better for smaller deposits of fat as opposed to the cool sculpting method which is lauded as superior for larger areas of fatty tissue. Some comparison between the two methods might assist you in choosing which is better for your circumstance (if either is ideal).

I will say that if it is only fat that remains or has accumulated sine your op, diet and exercise would be the best approach in my opinion. Of course, you should be sure to determine whether or not it is fatty tissue and not glandular tissue. A doctor can assist in identifying the nature of the tissue.

Here is the site I consulted in responding to you:

Thanks Jacobi. that was helpful.
am not sure which speciality doctor can tell me whether i have glandular tissue or not. i already had one surgery to remove glandular tissue and fat. i have consulted many PSs for revision and one guy told me i have gland and another guy told me i have only fat and one guy told me i have neither. am so confused now.
i have also posted my pics in another thread under Ask doctor section.

Considering the disparity of opinions you've received from those surgeons, I suspect that at least a few of them could be incompetents. I wouldn't trust myself to diagnose the type of tissue in another man's chest, but a plastic surgeon who offers this procedure should be able to do so quite easily. Maybe after the op it becomes more difficult to determine, but I don't think so.

There are many plastic surgeons, but the gyno operation is somewhat of a specialty service. Not many men opt for cosmetic surgery, let alone this particular procedure, so while most cosmetic doctors would know about this procedure, many might not perform it regularly (if at all). So, you might be coming across doctors who are inexperienced with this surgery but offer their opinion anyway (out of overconfidence or duplicity).

I would definitely go with a doctor with a long track record of gyno operations to ensure you are dealing with someone knowledgeable on the matter. Plastic surgeons who are considered reputable for their work in other areas don't necessarily have the expertise to treat your case.

As for your pictures, I wouldn't hazard to guess as to the nature of the tissue since I'm not a doctor, but I would recommend a regime of weight training and diet. There doesn't seem to me to be too much tissue of either kind on your chest (again, not a doctor), but if there is fat, it can be lost through natural means and definition can be brought up by weight training. A very simple template would almost certainly do it. And no need to focus entirely on the chest. I can appreciate the temptation to make a program revolving around the pecs, but I would avoid that for risks of injury.

I would recommend Strongifts or reviewing the videos of the YouTube personality Elliott Hulse on his strengthcamp channel. But honestly, if you go down the route of training and diet, just choose a method and stick with it. Everything works if you stay on the program. I only give you this warning in case you get overwhelmed by the myriad options out there. That is why I recommended Strongifts since its a simple but highly effective routine. And Elliott Hulse is a great man, very worth listening to in any case (whether you train or not).

If you have already had gyne surgery, your are then considering a revision.  Revision surgery is even more difficult than primary surgery because you also have to deal with scar tissue (in addition to any residual gland and fat) which is a natural and normal result of healing after surgery.

Laser lipo's main claim to fame is that it helps to tighten skin -- this has yet to be proven conclusively.  And for most guys, lax skin is not the issue.  Also, at best, laser lipo will remove fat, not gland and certainly not scar tissue.

So in general, I think you are looking in the wrong direction.  Don't buy the hype of laser lipo -- best to look for an experienced gyne surgeon who has additional experience in revision surgery.

Good luck!

Thanks Doctor for answering my question in detail.
I have posted my pics in Ask Doctor section with "Need your suggestion" heading.

I have consulted several Plastic surgeons in my place for revision surgery. one doctor told me I still have some gland on right side. one doctor I only have some fat on right side. one doctor told me that I have loose skin and I don't have either gland or fat. one doctor told me I might have some scar tissue on right side. am so confused now.
don't think i have much gland..  I am considering laser lipo because i am feeling i might have some loose skin and some fat based on the doctor consultations so far.

request you to look at my pics and share your opinion.
