Hello
Can anyone explain to me why scar tissue can build after a gyno surgery? Is it because of the liposuction in that area or because of the excision of the gland.
Anyone will develop scar tissue or by case? Kenalog injections can get you rid of scar tissue in totality or just to some extent?
Thanks for your answers!

When surgery is performed, the body heals with scar tissue -- only.  Most of the time, the scar tissue under the skin and nipples is a non-factor.  On occasion, and for unknown reasons, excess scar tissue may form directly under the areolas.  It normally takes at least one or more months for this to develop.  Fortunately, it is treatable with cortisone injections -- no further surgery would be needed.  In fact, if additional surgery would be performed to remove the scar tissue, it would heal with -- you guessed it -- more scar tissue.

Thanks for the reply and excuse my late response. I get that body when heals will heal with scar tissue but let me know something straight.

Could  I minimize scar tissue if i will lose weight to the point where only excision is needed without any additional liposuction?

Shortly, do excision + liposuction contribute to scar tissue more than a procedure where just the excision is needed?

Thanks!

Losing weight will not minimize scar tissue.  And scar tissue MAY form no matter what type of surgery is performed -- excision alone or excision with lipo.

In this scenario, Mother Nature rules -- the formation of scar tissue cannot be controlled by the patient or the surgeon.  After it forms, the surgeon may be able to minimize it to some extent.
