Is it a good idea to do a mammogram before revision surgery?

Would a mammogram show whether there is any tissue left over that needs to be removed? Would it be a good idea to do one before revision surgery?

If so, where do I go, or how do I go about getting one?

In my opinion, a mammogram would not provide any useful information.  If you have any residual tissue present, it will predictably be a combination of fat, gland and scar tissue.

Revision surgery would be aimed at removing ANY excess tissue.  Therefore, how would a mammogram help?

On the other hand, if you suspect malignancy, then you should have a mammogram.
