Andractim - can these sides take place?

How long would someone have to be using Andractim for the following effects described below take place?  And how long would it take for the effects to return to their previous level?

A doctor in the finasteride_side_effects newsgroup wrote that using Andractim greatly suppresses the HPTA.  Thus LH, and subsequently T (and E) levels will drop.  Decreased LH levels lowers production of all three hormonal pathways which rely on the CHOL to pregnenolone conversion: sex hormones, glucocorticoids and mineralcorticoids.  As a self-proclaimed expert in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), he says to secure APPROPRIATE TRT, and allow the natural conversion to DHT.

Most hypogonadal men benefit from testosterone replacement TRT.

Andractim however is an alternate form of therapy for men who suffer from hypogonadism who convert too much testosterone to estradiol.  In particular it sometimes benefits older men and men with alpha 5 reductase deficiency.

The person who you have spoken to is correct about the lowering of LH, Testosterone and estradiol.  However he is giving a VERY one-sided view and a poor explanation of what is going on here.

For a start off what does he think TRT does?

I shall tell you, exogenous testosterone reduces endogenous production of testosterone, it also lowers LH and increases estradiol.

TRT suppresses the very hormones that DHT does with the exception of estradiol (as TRT doesn't do that)....so where is his point exactly?

Although Andractim, which is the potent male hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) lowers testosterone it also lowers estradiol and overall it increases the ratio of Androgens to Estrogens and in doing so can help reduce and resolve gynecomastia, something that testosterone rarely does.

Whoever this person is they should be giving a balanced picture and not trying to paint a black and white picture.

What is appropriate for you or anyone else will depend upon the individuals clinical picture.
