Scar tissue go away or just flatten out????

Hi, I had just a nipple surgery and built about a peach size ball of scar tissue under my areolas making them really puffy. It has been 3 months from the surgery and the scar tissue is still there..... maybe a little bit softer from massaging. I will plan to get a cortisone shot in them in two weeks. My question is this..... Does scar tissue dissolve eventually or does it just flatten out? The nurse I talked to said that it will just flatten and not dissolve. My impression before was that it would eventually all go away with time. My areolas were not puffy before but now it looks really bad. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Well there are alot of threads about scar tissue, with many different results and opinions.

I know this is not what you want to here but you just need to wait and see everyone is different.

You are deffinetly early in the recovery time so dont get to worried.
