How long post op to fully heal?

how long does the surgeons say it takes for all the scarring to fade and the swelling to go down completely?

It could take between 6 and 12 months.

Took me about 10 months I reckon... but scars are still fading, they take a couple of years I think.

did you notice your chest changed shape much over the months?

After my op, i have 3 weeks until i go back to university.  By that time, will it look better or worse?!  (bearing in mind i'll be wearing the compression vest)

Anyone know what we should do to ensure visible scars at the incision points will go away nicely?

The shape of my chest changed quite a bit over the first 6 months or so, but at a gradualy slower and slower rate, not really noticed any change over the last 3 or 4 months.

Everyone is different. But 1 weeks post of for me, I felt completly normal with just a small amount of soreness. The excision scars are not too noticable.
