On a great video posted by a former gyn patient (http://www.individual.utoronto.ca/charlesh/documentary/) Dr Frank Lista talks about a type of surgery that does not involve a cut around the areola. Dr. Delgado, the surgeon that I am considering does not seem to use this technique. Does anybody have perspectives on the pros and cons of each approach?
Thanks!

each doc has his/her method..whats matters r the results, not the technique..

hope this helps...

I hear what you say, but this is beyond technical choice, as one option leads to not having a scar around the nipple at all. This is why I wonder why one would not adopt this alternative approach, which the Canadian doctor claims to be the "new" way of doing it.

some surgeons use excellent stitching that leaves the scar invisible :)
