Everything is bad for you in one way or another though! If we worried about the bad things of any given item then we'd all stay at home wrapped in cotton wool and wouldn't eat or drink anything at all! But then that'd be bad for you as well!

I really wouldn't worry mate, diet is better than regular, just drink it in moderation.

I never drank soda regularly. I can't understand people that drink soda daily. If I ever do drink soda I drink the regular kind. Usually, I drink water. My only liquid sin is beer and other alcoholic beverages, but I fucking love beer and I'm not giving it up.

I was on a diet earlier this year counting my calories. I estimated my maintenance calorie intake to 2500 and then I removed 1000 to loose 1 kg a week (7000 calories beeing 1kg of fat). This worked very well and I lost 10kg in a couple of months. To be able to manage this, not beeing able to eat sweets and stuff, I drank Coca Cola Zero and Diet Coke everyday, maybe 1½ litre.

I don´t beleive in people who say that diet coke makes you fat, since it does not make me fat, but maybe it is different for different ppl.

The only thing with diet coke is that you fool the body that you have had sugar and then you might _want_ more sugar products, but if you can limit your "sugar"-intake to only diet coke then you will be fine, in my meaning.

Whether it's diet or not, soda is nothing but liquid candy.  Treat it as such and you'll be fine.

I think soft drinks tastes yucky. They make me thirsty. 7up tastes like lemon pledge furniture polish and I spit it out. Diet drinks taste like chemicals. And beer & mixed drinks, well, I just dont see what people like about these drinks. I serve these on my job. But to each his own so I don't mind if someone else drinks this stuff. I have no problem avoiding soft drinks.  Coffee?... Thats my weak spot.

i always find it entertaining how many people are drinking energy drinks at the gym (or even just day to day) and are often carrying a bit of extra fat. once you are used to drinking water all the time your tastes adjust and you can taste the ridiculous amount of sugar in other drinks.

I  just  stooped the  Monster energy  drinks 3  days ago,   I  was having a  flare up of  depression,  I cut the  Monster drink out and the depression subsided substaintially. I was  drinking 3 or 4 of them a day,   prior to exersizing
I am one  with the  extra fat  around the middle, I think   even  diet drinks   add to that.
