since we all have this condition, i was wondering... does that mean we all have very low testosterone ?

my case i guess would be considered mild, in most cases i can get away with a t-shirt or a polo shirt without it really being noticed..

but what are other signs of having low testosterone, besides having this condition ?

thanks_ :)

For information on low testosterone please view the thread important information for gynecomastia.

The answer to your question is NO.

That said gynecomastia can be a symptom of low testosterone or hypogonadism as it is termed and is an associated condition, with 10% of all gynecomastia sufferers having hypogondism.

This is why it is in the interests of people with gynecomastia to see an endocrinologist and rule out hypogonadism and check for other underlying conditions (particularly if surgery is something you are considering).

I'd say the number one indicator of low testosterone in guys is low sex drive.

I myself aquired primary hypogonadism a few years ago. At the beginning, I didn't even know anything was wrong.  The only thing I noticed was my sex drive became non-existant. Although this was worrisome, I could deal with that and went on about my life. Later I started to develope gyno which is when I went to a doctor.

So if you have a healthy sex drive I wouldn't worry.

I'm sorry aux513s but this is not true.

I think you have extrapolated from your own experience, which is very understandable but nevertheless wrong.

I had low testosterone for thirteen years of which I only had a reduced sex drive the year I was diagnosed.

For thirteen years I had fatigue, and lower back pain.

I have now been diagnosed with osteoporosis/osteopenia of the spine and lost a career thanks to an osteo condition in my arm.

The symptoms of testosterone deficiency differ from person to person.

The best way of checking your health is to see a good endocrinologist who deals with reproductive endocrinology, via a consultation and tests they wil be  best placed to dignsoe or rule out hypognadism.
