If you have minor gyne created from short term steroid use, what are some detail and/or facts that differ from regular gyne and should be know?

Is surgery performed any differently?        Does it cause more glandular tissue versus fatty tissue?

Can the result be reversed or minimized by healthy life habits or is there any other alternative to surgery?

Would any type of anti-estrogens help to any extent, even tho testosterone levels should be normal again? if u have learned your lesson and not used any type of steroid for over 2 years.

Any opinions or facts about steroid created gyne would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

It is thought that Gynecomastia which is due to a side effect of a drug, almost any drug for that matter; has a good chance of diminishing without treatment IF the offending drug is stopped before the enlargement is fixed or stabilized.

That is to say that IF the drug is stopped at the first sign of enlargement and/or tenderness the condition MIGHT resolve without treatment. But, IF the condition has persisted for an extended time; the chance of reduction is diminished. if the condition has persisted for two years or more the odds of significant shrinkage are near zero.

In spite of claims to the contrary by various people selling potions that they tout as "cures", There are no magic pills that can significantly or reliably reduce Gynecomastia. None!

The only way to reliably reduce male breasts is surgery. While it would be wise to tell your Dr. your complete medical history, including drug usage, I do not believe it would make a significant difference in the surgical methods employed.

Note the qualifiers which I have put in capitals. Your individual physiology is also a significant variable which leaves us with the caveat: "How lucky do you feel?"
