Hello All

Had my Op Thursday 26th, Arrived at Three and was taken straight to my room, over night stay as i was alone.
Done the paper work, Dr Kardidis came for a chat, did some drawing on me , " you be going down at about 5 " and he was off.

Nurse came at around 5.30 walked down to operating theater, got on bed, anesthetist came in done his stuff and that was it all over.

Came round and was eating cheese sandwiches and crisps in about 30 Min's ! , No pain or after affects from the anesthetic, It was all so easy
Left the hospital next day, A little sore but still have not taken any pain killers,

Had a look on Saturday morning before shower , Just Amazing ! Flat ! best £4700 i have spent, went out picked car up from garage done some shopping no problems, And had a phone call from Dr Kardidis at lunch time to ask if every thing was OK.

If your here you know you have a problem that no amount of diet, running or weights will get rid of them, don't suffer for years like me go and see him, The only plus thing about leaving it so late is Dr Kardidis has done Hundreds of these procedures, Maybe the most experienced in the UK

I am 6'1 and 11st 12 , and he removed 28 gram of gland , a lot for some one with my frame he said , and i forgot how much fat

Will upload some pics

We could have cut the cost and shared a room, I left at the back of 3 on thursday  ;D ;D

Glad to hear it all went well.
Took the plunge and had consultation with Dr. Karidis 7th January 2009.
Surgery 26th February 2009.
Just wish I'd been able to do this years ago.

How are you doing flexxy?

Can't wait to get that vest off for part of the day tomorrow. I bought a size smaller in a T shirt today than I normally would  ;D

Hello Again

Its been a just over a month since my op, my last post was about 3 days post op, well things have been very good since

I went back to work a week later, no problems, I have been so surprised at how little pain or loss of mobility i have had, I was sleeping on my front at day 5 or 6 little bit sore until i got settled but i was sleeping all night (always slept on my front, cant sleep any other way for long)

Kept the compression vest on 24hrs day for 13 days, the morning it came off I could not  wait any more so i went running, a slow 4 miles, no discomfort at all

My running used to happen very early in the morning or evening , wearing what ever clothes to camouflage my moobs ! no more just a t-shirt  in the mid morning sun running through  the park.

I have been swimming a few times since, i have not done that since i was 13 -14 years old , I wear t-shirts only now, and i look good !

In all i am very happy with the results, quite amazing how tight every thing is, nipples are now small and look normal, i have not had much swelling, some times there is a slight crease under the nipples across the chest but it comes and goes and i know i need to wait for things to settle down

And all that training  on upper body with weights works ! just hidden under fat and gland, which before the OP only helped to push every thing out and make it look worse , some thing to think about people !!!

The OP has been quite simply a life changing thing, all i need to do now is get some color on my torso, i can actually sun bath this summer !!!

I am moving  house at the moment when my PC is set up i will upload some pics

Regards

Spot on flexxy that's great to hear. although i'm only 2 weeks post i feel the same being able to wear clothing without worrying about revealing the old moobs is a fantastic feeling. I'm olso into my training bigtime, just can't wait to get back into it cause at the moment i feel like a lazy git lol.

How did you feel after going for a run without your vest? any swelling afterwards? Pleased for you man take it easy.

when i had my consulation with karidis he said he reccomends only wearing the vest for 7 days

he made it clear that there was no implications wearing it longer, but from a medical point of view 7 days is all that is neccessary. And people who wore it longer "do it to make them feel secure"

Do you lads agree? i have a fairly minor case id say compared to some on here so maybe he was reccomending that for myself?
8 days to go! 16/05/2009 Dr. Karidis = Cant wait!

I disagree, I think the vest is pretty important.  I have been wearing the Stage 1 24/7 for a full month now.  I had a pretty minor case too, just puffy nipples (excision with a little bit of lipo).  The vest protects your chest and helps it heal.  If someone were to bump into you in the first few weeks, you will probably wish you had the vest on.

I'm becoming increasingly sold on Dr Kardidis, and am beginning to get excited about finding a surgeon who's quite good and within my financial range - I'm living in Ireland and I thought I might have to fly to the states to get it done properly.
Surgery completed. Mission accomplished!
2/6/09. Dr. Karidis, UK.
