For those of you who have done this Gynecomestia surgery.
Is it normal for one side to heal faster, i don't mean just the scars and bruising but also the swelling.
I have one side that is still pretty swollen and the other much smaller.
Any imput would be helpful, I'm 3 weeks out
Thanks.

Did your PS have to do more work on one side than the other?

he's right, the more extensive the work, the greater swelling you should expect.  the invert can improve, it's too early to try to guess at final results, but if you're concerned, you should just call or visit your ps.

You're welcome dude...  ;)

Yeah, many guys get a tad paranoid in the early goings of post-op. However, you need to let your body heal at least 3-6 months before passing any sort of judgment on surgery results. Three weeks in, is way too early to start passing judgment...

Just chill out and try not to think about it too much my man...  You'll be fine...  ;)

Yes, the healing after gynecomastia surgery can vary by side. This particularly happens when the problems are different such as in Uneven Gynecomastia or Unilateral or One Sided Male Breast Enlargement. Uneven recovery can also happen when complications like hematoma after gynecomastia surgery slow down the healing on one side.

Hope this helps,

Inverted Nipples in Men can result from

  • Gland Adherent to Skin
  • Scar Tissue Adherent to Skin
  • How Redundant Skin Drapes
  • Lack of Tissue Support Under the Nipple

This is a more subtle form of what I first described many years ago as a Crater Deformity After Gynecomastia Surgery

What will happen will depend on the cause and many other factors.  Prevention is much better than hoping for the best.  Tissues will need to evolve before considering what options are available.

Hope this helps,

Evolve means heal. It can take 6 months or longer for such healing before considering revision.  We are glad to help patients explore options during a consultation or a Preliminary Remote Discussion for those preferring to minimize travel to Virginia.

WOW! 6 moths huh? well that's good news i guess.. got quite some time for it to change still!

can tissues under the nipple grow and push it up so the inversion go away? is that how it works?
