Hi guys, I am 17 years old and I am from Vancouver Canada.
Here are a couple of pictures of me and my problem from different angles.  I am going into surgery on the 15th, (10 days from now), and I am very excited, having lived with this for the last 6 years.

Feel free to leave and comments or questions you have about my gynecomastia or about surgery.

Cheers.

My surgeon is Dr. Brown from Richmond B.C..  Does anyone think the nipples will shrink at all?  Because I don't like the size of them very much..

Including the anesthesioligist and all the other random charges, near 4,000$ I think (3,700$ and something).  However, Dr. Brown wrote a letter to some big fancy people from the government somewhere, and they decided to give me a grant, so it's all free! =)  When I heard that it was the happiest day of my life.

A lot like I used to look.  Nipples will shrink in size, but usually they end up slightly ovoid as well.  My left one, where much more gland was removed, still has a wrinkle in it above the incision.  It's fading, but be prepared to have some wrinkling for months after surgery until your skin contracts a bit.

It will be worth it.  I just want to be able to wear a tee-shirt again and not have people laugh at me.

You have a clear case of glandular gyne. Good luck with your surgery and be sure to post some "after pics."

Wow dude, before I had surgery 2 weeks ago, my chest looked exactly like yours. I had a small amount of breast tissue, a small amount of fat, in addition to gland. Got it all taken out, and I've never been happier. Get the surgery, you'll be very pleased... PM me if you have any questions.

  • I had surgery on 6/30/05
Mine looked exactly the same as yours. I'm a little under one week post op and I think it looks great and I only had lipo done. You will be very happy.

What's all this about gland and excision?  I don't understand..  My doctor said I'm only getting lipo done..  Will my chest still be flat?  Or is he doing it wrong?  ???
