Purse-string suture method?

Hello i had my gynecomasta operation 4 years ago, it was more of a puffy nipple issue than actual breast. I was kind of satisfied with results even though pufiness was still present. It now seems the puffiness has increaced, i suspect due to use of Saw Palmetto supplement.

I don't want to have another operation so i am thinking of about this purse string suture method, does anyone have any info about it? How long is the recovery period and do i need to wear any garment after it? Thanks!

The last I heard, a purse string suture involves surgery.

If indeed you have puffy nipples due to saw palmetto, then more than likely surgery would be indicated -- a purse string suture is used primarlily to reduce the size of the areola -- but it does nothing for excess tissue beneath the areola.

Be sure to speak to a gyne specialist about any future treatment.

Yes, but the excess tissue wouldnt be a problem since it doesnt give my breast a female form,it only makes the nipples puff out and it is not very severe, and i heard that when you have these sutures the nipple reduces to a size about as same as if you would pinch your nipple or expose them to a cold enviornment? Is this true?

And what kind of surgery is this? I am primarly concerned about the recovery time? Will i have to wear a garment? Would it have bruising?

A purse-string suture is used to reduce the overall diameter of the areola -- it does nothing for the excess breast tissue immediately beneath it. If nothing else were done, you would end up with a smaller areola with puffiness.  And then the scar around the entire areola could spread and become wide.  I am not a fan of this technique.
