Can you still wear vest after 6 weeks?

I'm at 6 weeks post op tomorrow. Honestly, I don't mind the way I look without a shirt even though I'm still overweight (5'10" 200 lbs). There's still scar tissue and it doesn't look  nearly as flat as it did 1-2 weeks post-op (Will it ever?) But I really don't like the way I look wearing a t-shirt without the vest, it looks similar to how I did pre-op.

This is why I want to continue wearing the vest because it makes you look flatter and slimmer while wearing a shirt over it. Is there anything wrong with wanting to continue wearing it until I'm fully healed?
