Hi guys. I just had my surgery and everything has gone awesome. One question about healing post surgery.

I have a bit of fluid built up on one side. The doctors not worried about it, it's not enough to need to drain. I just want to know if there's anything I can do to help speed up the healing process and get rid of the fluid quicker before my next visit to the doc. Is there any medication? Icing it or applying heat? Anything really, I just want the fastest and safest treatments for this if any. Right now I'm just wearing my compression vest to help with this.

Thanks a million

In general:  If there is only a little fluid, then it will re-absorb by itself.  There is absolutely nothing for you to do to make it disappear quicker.  Exercise, however, can worsen it.

Make sure you see your surgeon often to determine the pace at which the fluid is disappearing.
