Ok so it's for gyne about $6,000 and a little lipo around the tummy (figured while I'm at it) another $3,000-ish.

I went to see Dr. Silverman in Boston/Newton yesterday.  He was very nice and all but I'm still trying to swallow the bill.

I already booked the surgery - 9/23.  So I guess in away I've already "swallowed".  But man!  That seems high!

Question:  Did your doctors "examine" you?  (By examine I mean touch.)  All he did was take pictures.  Maybe that's common practice:  He's seen so many he doesn't need to???

I've attached a quick link of some of my own pics.

  • Thank you Fielding
$6000 just to remove your gyne!!! That's high to me.  It's also in US currency which makes it even that much harder to swallow.  I'm from Canada and mine cost me $1600 Canadian.  I've heard the name of your doctor and from what I've read, he does good work (but so does the guy charging half that).  I would have shopped around.  There should have been other doctors in Boston you could have checked out.

Not only did my doctor touch my chest, he measured, poked and squeezed them.

At least you're doing something about your gyne and you're on your way to making yourself happier. Good luck to you and post pics when done.

bro, don't take this the wrong way.   but from your physique u look like u suffer from klines...

u look like you have an insane test/est ratio screw up ..

have u been to an endocroncologist???>

if not, i would seriously visit one before paying 9 grand for surgery.

Klinefelter's?  Never thought of it.  Don't you have small gentials with that?  I don't think I have that.  But never thought of getting tested.  I mean I'm pretty good size in that department.

Now I'm concerned....

wait.. why do you think he ha klinefelter syndrome?? i mean, sure he's got gyne.. but so does everybody else on the forum.. klinefelter syndrome's obvious symptoms include: very little body hair (obviously, thats not a problem in his case), underdeveloped testes/penis  (which he claimed is not evident), slurred speech, and freakislhy long arms (usually arm span is about 2 inches longer than height..).

looking at him, he just looks like any other person on this board with gyne.. just wanted to know why you're filling scary thoughts into this man's head.

Thank you.  You're alleviating my worries.  I, literally, had nightmares.  I've been doing some research on it though.

I do have fatter hips and smaller waist though and maybe a girl-ish type figure.  No?  But my testes are fine.  I only slur after 5 cocktails. : ) And I was an honor student in college, went on to grad school etc. (I read there  are sometimes learning disabilities.)

I don't know...maybe I'm just getting paranoid.  Maybe I should see an endrocronologist anyway?

Seems to me that if you're considering spending that much money on surgery, it would be effort well spent.

ok.. i was being sarcastic when i said klines..

but bro, u have 0 muscle definition, and fat deposits like a chic.

guys dont have hips like that, and fat on their stomach looking like that.

again, i'm not trying to be a male thingy.. but a male's fat distribution is NOTHING like what u have.

i'm thinking ur test/estrdiol levels are quite wacky, which is why u have this distribution of fat.. and well the gyno to begin with.

just go see an endo and get a test done before the surgery bro.

FYI, I had the same thing done here in SE Florida for $5K and had great results.

Okay, some I'm feeling pretty justified.  I know I'm not the most attractive...but a "chic" body.  Oh dear God!  I didn't think I was that bad.  Maybe I've just been deluding myself all these years.

Anyone out there have/had a similar body like mine?  Will surgery help?  I'm pretty thin...well for the most part.  I'm 180, 6'.  I was down to 165 last summer but looked like a rail.  It was all in attempt to get rid of the gyne but it didn't go away.  My "love handles" diminished some but still there.   :-/
