I'll be to the point.  I'm a 26 years old.  I have been working out lately, and have perceived myself to have put out on a little fat, in addition to muscle.

I also perceive myself to be different in the chest.  I feel that my chest appears to be different lately: it is more puffy and pointed.

Please note that I am bipolar, and have also been taking risperidone.  I am greatly distressed at this drug increases prolactin and can cause gynecomastia.

Any professional opinions are greatly appreciated.

You are correct:  Risperdal can cause gynecomastia.  If your gyne is recent and coincides with your taking Risperdal, then the two may be related.  Unfortunately, once gyne has formed, the only treatment is surgery -- stopping the Risperdal will not result in spontaneous diminution of your gyne.

If you are considering surgery, you should consult with the doctor who prescribed Risperdal and see if there is another medication that you could take for your Bi-polar depression instead of Risperdal.

Good luck!
