We're all in the same boat. If money wasn't an issue, we'd all get the surgery. I've been working as a waiter over the summer in addition to working part-time in college while getting my degree. I'm sure at the age of 18 you have lots of free time. I'd suggest working now before it becomes difficult.

That is NOT necessary true, while money is not an issue for me, medically unnecessary cosmetic surgery is.

The real issue with Gynecomastia is a persons perception of that they believe they see in the mirror and no amount of cosmetic surgery will be able to fix a problem that is in-between your ears.

I work with severely disabled Veterans to help them (out of my own pocket) when the VA system fails to do its job and assist them to put their lives back together. No surgical procedure can replace a missing arm, or leg (sometimes wore), they learn to live with the hand that life has dealt them.

Gynecomastia is at best an inconvenience, unless there is an underlying medical issue developing breasts will NOT physically harm you. If you feel like you are less of a man because you have developed breasts then look at the thousands of men who have lost eyes, legs, arms and often more. Then tell yourself "Woe is poor little ol me". Or you can adapt and overcome.

The choice is yours cry or pick yourself up and and make something of yourself, because no amount of cosmetic surgery is going to make you a better person that you already are.

Luck is a figment of your imagination, we make our own luck, success or failure is in each persons control, the path is rarely straight and usually the means justify the ends.

Breasts, the lack of a limb or an eye, even greater losses are simply bumps on the road to success. Only what is inside of a man defines what he is and what he can be.

If you define yourself by your appearance or what others perceive you to be then you have limited your potential.

I refuse to be defined as anything other than what I am. Successful in my career and what I have accomplished, in business, personally with my assistance to disabled Veterans and with the Ladies I chose to associate with.

true but i think oversimplified.  it's both: you have to make your peace with it or not, and you need to tell anyone with a problem with it to go to hell.  BUT if you want to get rid of it, more power to you, you are taking control of your own life for yourself based on your choices for you.

[/color] meh, maybe, but i don't think comparisons of any kind are fair.  in some respects i'd almost choose more "serious" (to others) conditions over this considering the devastation it cost both me and my girlfriend and our families.  the fact it's less "tangible" to some make it no less nasty or destructive.
