Gyne Cause & KS testing

I was lately diagnosed with Gynecomastia back in July by going to an endrocrinologist about possibly low testosterone for a male my age. They said my testosterone level was on the low end of normal but the free testosterone (which they told me can't be tested) was good. I seem to have most of the symptoms that are associated with KS. I was wondering how I would go about seeing if this is the cause of my gynecomastia. I mean I don't want to be beating a dead horse.

Not sure if you addressed this since your post. But I am having a hard time getting either a GP or an endo give me a script for the test. They all say nah, you don't have it -- despite many (but certainly not all) of the physical symptoms and a couple counter-symptoms. Borderline low estradiol, for example. (But I am 50 and could have gone through menopause, lol.) This doctor reluctance seems common, though. Perservere, I suggest, even if you do feel you are beating a ead horse. Get it ruled out, of nothing else.

Guys please bare in mind Klinefelters Syndrome is a form of testosterone deficiency- just one form!!!

There are many different forms of testosterone deficiency, so the question first and foremost should never be do they have KS, but rather are they testosterone deficient.

If they are then and only then should the cause/form of the deficiency be sought.

Free testosterone can be tested for, your doctor is talking out of their proverbial.

It is tested for routinely in the US and is difficult to get tested in Europe and the UK, but I am from ther UK and I have  had it tested for in London.
