Hey guys...

After being embarrassed to take my top off for most of my life, I've decided to do something about it.

I'm 26yo and have never been skinny or fit (but I've never been hugely overweight), I've always had a bit of a belly & man-boobs for as long as I can remember.

I've lost about 10kg recently recently, currently I'm at 75kg, and am about 176cm tall.

My beer gut keeps on getting smaller, but the bitch-breast's just won't seem to go away.

I've never taken illegal steriods, although was prescribed some steriods for my asthma at a younger age (10 - 11). Have been researching this, but haven't had any conclusive evidence pointing towards this yet.

Am going to get a professional opinion in the next couple of weeks. Have been busting my gut with exercise, and would LOVE to know that it's possible to get rid of them if I get keep at it.

However, if surgery is the only option, I would like to get it out of the way, while I've got the time & money (considering going back to uni next year).

Anyway, thanks in advance for your advice.

It's gyne.  If you have a lot of gland it might be possible to isolate the gland from surrounding fat if you try to grab it.  I think if you lost 15kg of fat and replace some of it with lean muscle mass you'll get a much better idea of where you stand and will have an easier time with the surgery.

I also took some inhalers (steroids) for asthma when I was younger.  It's kinda hard to find out if those medications we took over a decade ago could have caused this; it's possible but there's no point worrying about it now.

Its possible that meds did.  You were at an age where hormones flared, fat cell grew ect ect.  Either way, too late now to worry.  Now its time to get it fixed.  When I weighed your weight, I looked similiar too you except my nips more puffy unless it was cold. lol.  Never could get totally rid of it even when I was at 132lbs.  Dang that was a long time ago.hmmmmm
Only a doc can tell if its gland and most of time not until they do surgery.  I bet its mostly fat.  I am all for the surgery.  Had surgery 1  month ago and do not regret it.  Still dealing with slight edema but my chest looks better than it has in 20 years.
If you got the money at least go and see a doc and get their opinion.  I recommend not to deal with it any longer than you have to if you have the health and means to get rid of it.

Oh yea this is 100th post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Post surgery
Got my shirt off right now!!!!! lol

Good news!

Went and saw a specialist today, and he confirmed that it wasn't gyne.

He said surgery would probably cause more damage than good and the best thing I could do was drop a few more kilo's and add a little more muscle.

Although it's a harder road to take, I'm glad.

I dont want to be a parade rainer on here but I think it looks like gyne. If it wasnt gyne then there wouldnt be much palpable tissue between muscle and skin.

I think what he meant was that its probably not glandular growth and therefore is fat that will respond to dieting. You should be realistic about the results youll get from that though.
