medications/pills before and after surgery...

[14 yr old surgery 2/18]

My surgeon put me on the following

Valium-start day of surgery
APAP w/ Codine(? no idea wat APAP stands for)-start day of surgery
Vitamin C-begin 1 week before surgery (1000 mg)
Mephyton-3days before surgery, 3 days after (2x daily)
Cephalexin-take 4 times daily (I think, dont have it with me)

any one have any comments about them, i have no idea wats normal, and i was worried when i saw codine about the pain, i didnt think it wuld be as bad.
