  • Unsuccessful Lipo...Excision Revision..still Puffy
Im 5 weeks post op (gland excision revision) and untill now have had HUGE and hard scar tissue under my nips. Finally today it seems as tho it has softened and flattened a bit. I dunno if massaging helped or not. HOPEFULLY it will go down even more.

Anyone have scar tissue soften/flatten after 5 weeks?

awsome...its just scary bc so many people have long term problems with "scar tissue" never breaking up and flattening (its usually leftover gland in those cases)

Does scar tissue feel like breast gland tissue? I've also got this round lump under my nipple areola area(right side). It been 5 week post opt. I felt that lump 4 days after the sugery (the day I took of my compression garment).
I have no fluid built up and almost all the swelling went down. It feels so much like the lump I had before the sugery but a bit smaller.
it hurts a bit when pressed with my fingers. Just like the feeling with touching breast tissue.
I see the doc (PS) in two months again for a follow up. I just have a feeling it is gland tissue and not scar tissue, but I'm not sure. What is the differnce between both tissues when it comes to feeling it with my fingers?

Ok heres my conclusions...i had lipo only surgury the first time. The DAY AFTER surgery I already had the hard lumps like i had prior to surgey. This was leftover GLAND.

With the excision revision...i had ZERO hardness for the first WEEK or so and then it formed. This is SCAR tissue.

In conclusion-if it forms immediatly after surgery, it prolly is leftover gland.
I dont know if this is medically correct, but my situation.

Nope. a few members have had them. My PS said that NO board certified surgeons use them. I would wait many months before resorting to cortisone.

cortisone jab has made a big diff to my scar lumps too. certainly worth considering IMO.

Two months after surgery my nipples are still "poofy". It feels like there's fluid inside them, but I honestly don't know. Is this common? Does the poofiness go down as the scar tissue heals?
