Hey everybody.
I first got gynecomastia when I was about thirteen. I was thin so I had no idea why i was suddenly getting these fatty breasts. And as I went through middle school and high school I was ridiculed often for having this condition. My self-esteem was extremely low, and I had little to no confidence around girls. But one day I finally approached my parents about it. And for those of you who are reluctant about talking to your parents, I strongly urge you to talk to them. Its definetly worth the shot.

my surgeon was dr. richard bartlett, who has offices in brookline and in lexington, MA. i got both an excision and lipo procedure. the pics were taken a week after the surgery, so there is still some bruising. but that was 2 weeks ago and tommorow i finally get my compression vest off. i'll update it with more pics tommorow. and thanks everyone for your support!

Boston 56 , you look great postop. Quick ? From your pics, it looks as if you have a cut around your entire areola? Did the doc remove any skin because from my scar is from 3 to 9 o clock.

yah, it seems like the entire aereola was removed, because it was cut all the way around, but no excess skin was removed. the surgery ran about 7000 dollars i believe. and although i am psyched about my results, i'm starting to get some swelling on my left side under my nipple. they say that the area of the incision will become a little raised, but its started to make it look a little puffy. anyone have any experiences with this?

these are 7 weeks post op.

my nipples are a little puffy, but thats just because the incision is still raised. apparently it wont be completely flat until up to 6 months after.

i hope i'm helping those of you who have a condition similar to mine to think about surgery. it's worth it!
