I had lipo almost 2 months ago, and I'd hate going trough the whole summer without exposing my upper body to sun. Is it really such a big deal? I only have minor scars from the lipo, about this size: -- , only a bit thicker.

  • Had expensive surgery... Now I'm flat busted!
I've been out in the sun and have a great tan with areola reduction scars at 3 months and no problem.  I just take a cotton swab and rub on a little high spf suncreen.  The cotton swab is so I can apply it more precisely.  If you use your finger you'll end up with a huge white spot with the scar in the middle.  It looks extremely funny with two large white circles on your chest with your nips in the middle.  At least that's how it worked out for me.   :-[   I use spf 70, but my PS said 30 or 50 should be fine.  It's very important to use sunscreen, though, because the light-sensitive scar can go permanently dark if you don't.
