just wondering has anybody had their scars (hemiareolar) noticed by any others (especially woman) post surgery?

wat did u reply to them?

how long after surgery was it noticed (ie had the scars healed enough)?

My surgery was in March of this year, and you can see the faint scars when up close.  I've been outside at the lake or pool shirtless, though, on almost every sunny day the past month and nobody has seemed to notice.

I prefer techniques that permit a much smaller incision than the older hemi or half areola scar.  How a scar heals depends on the problem to be treated, surgical technique, skill of the surgeon, after surgery care, Compression Therapy, and After Surgery Scar Care.

These results are typical for my sculpture of my patients.

How tissues move is important.  The human body is beautiful in animation.  That is why I show pictures of the chest with arms up, down, and with muscles tight / relaxed in addition to the results from multiple views.  Limited view demonstrations can pick the best angle to hide deformities and problems.

ahhh Dr Bermant i think i have been through your website 1000 times and i am very impressed with your surgical techniques and outcomes...

i would like to see a gynecomatia specialist like you however i live in Australia and the travel expenses would be more than the actual surgery itself.

i was wondering do u have any surgical buddies in Sydney Australia who perform the surgery like your method...i have been to one PS who says he does via a hemiareolar incision but if the size of this incision can be decreased i would be much happier doing it that way... as you can see my case is not severe and i dont want attention drawn to my chest due to scarring.

Sorry, I am not a referral service but we do see many patients from Australia, New Zealand, Asia and around the world who prefer my techniques.  Actually I have done quite a few revision surgeries on patients who had their original operations done there locally. 

Flights to Richmond, when planned in advance may not be as expensive as you think.  I just searched Travelocity and found Sidney to Richmond round trip at $2,392 in August and $2,120 in December.  Some patients have told me they found less expensive flights, I guess it just depends on many factors.

You can check some of the costs of airfare to Richmond or Dulles in DC here.  Some patients fly into Dulles or Reagan Airports in DC and then rent a car.  Many prefer coming to Richmond directly.

Call me crazy but if I were with a man and he had scars from a gyne surgery I probable wouldn't know what they were.  So with that being said, he could say that he had some chest fluids that wouldn't drain or had a lung colapse as a child as a result of a bad cold, or that he had a torn muscle that wouldn't heal removed.  Come on guys......just tell them something, it's ok.  I mean if it's a long term relationship/serious she will accept the truth and it wouldn't matter to her if you had gyne or not, personally I thought that the pics of the men on here were normal, some larger than others but normal, they didn't like freak me out or anything.  Now back to the topic, if it's just a friend, or a date, just tell her something.  Tell her you had a strained ligament tear....come on they know, no better.  If you aren't comfortable sharing that then make something up,  use a big word if you need to, lol!  Seriously, I'm very smart, common sense and book but if a man told me something of the suck I wouldn't think anything more of it.  Good Luck!

It's great having a regular female here on the site to give a real perspective on major concerns of gyne sufferers, and those concerns are what females think about gyne, surgery, scars, etc.  Thanks very much for your input - It helps people more than you probably know.
