She knows I have glandular gynecomastia. She knows I've had it for 6 years now. However, I'm beginning to think she doesnt know much about gynecomastia. I ask people if they think I should lose weight and they say no. I'm not fat, just got a little extra baggage and she keeps telling me to lose weight! I'm tired of this. I'm very muscular for my age and size and my little extra isn't going to cure me! Should I try to find a new doctor or am I wrong?

  • Had expensive surgery... Now I'm flat busted!
Unfortunately, many general practicioners don't have a clue about gynecomastia.  They see a large chest and automatically say "lose weight", or even worse, "It's nothing... Don't worry about it".   I know it's annoying.  She may be a good doctor otherwise, though, so I wouldn't jump ship just over that one thing.

Just try it for a while.
