Well I have been making threads about how I have dealed with my Gyne.
I went to a doctor, she gave me crap.
My mom believes that crap.
I told my mom how bad I feel about my Gyne but she thinks im exaggerating and my doctor told me to just exercise when I have been exercising for 2 years straight.
I have been doing weight training, Jogging, Kick Boxing, for 2 years and my nipples remain the same.. I have had gyne since I was 12 or 13. Right now 17. My full confidence has been buried under this problem for to many years. I can't go to the beach, pool, with confidence. I never take my shirt off infront any one including my girlfriend.

So my final decision is to get a job, go see this surgeon myself.
Raise money to get the gyne reduction operation before I have to go to college.

And the question to you guys is, "how much does gyne reduction usually cost?"
how much should I raise?
can I raise enough money in 10 months or more?
The only thing I would spen it on would be gas money and some bills.

Well thats my final decision my mom obviously thinks im exaggerating. I love her to death but I know what I have to do. Im not a little kid anymore I can do it on my own.
I could do anything!, and if I got this much confidence now, I can't imagine how much confidence Ill have when I get the surgery.
much luv and  respect

best of luck man...you should get it as soon as possible. I too waited till 28 to have the surgery and its been a real prison break. I wish I had thought of it sooner. I managed to adjust with my gf but it was never comfortable for me.

the surgery cost me $5638 in pittsburgh but I think it can be done lesser (~$4.5k) in the US. I used carecredit.com to fund the surgery with no interest for 12 months. So that gives you a one-year buffer for which you have to make only minimum payments. But you have to pay the full amount at the end of 12 months to avoid any interest. There are probably other such financing options also..ask your PS.

btw, will taking your mom to a PS instead of a normal doctor help in convincing?

nah man, I told her today.
So when can we see a real Gyne surgeon who know's what he or she is taking about?
She doens't want to take me. She says my problem is not a problem at all and that I look fine.
I got mild Gyne and it took me years to finally admit I got a problem.

But nah man, Im going to have to go my self..I drive already. I just need a license.
And a job to fund my surgery.

Yea I hear you guys, I dont want to wait and end up living in termoil and embrassment for another 17 years. Im 17 and getting it now would be better then  having a lamborghini Diablo hehe.
No materialistic object is better then having complete confidence, awarness, and pride about your self.
And making Gyne go away will do that for me.

You guys think I can raise enough money in a couple of months?
is it cheaper for guys who got mild gynecomastia? because im guessing that men with extreme Gynecomastia takes more time, tools, medicine and effort.

Dude,

I'm 32 and have moobs, which I plan to donate to Dr. Bermant's trash can pretty soon.  I have spent the past 20 years stressing daily about my man boobs.  When I was your age, there was no internet so I thought I was the only person in the world with this problem.  Here is my suggestion to you.

Get your job and start saving money for surgery.  Right now you don't have any bills as you are living at home so milk it for all its worth and save everything you can.  When your mom sees you are actually saving money for surgery, she just might actually realize the gravity of the problem and start to come around.  However, if you don't save any money, you're not going to get any sympathy from her.

I'd try to save about $6,000 or $7,000.  That way you can get it done right by one of the Docs that are recommended often on this site.  Believe me, you will be making the right decision to get this taken care of sooner rather than later.  If you read through the posts on this site, you'll notice a common recurring theme from those who had surgery..........they all say they wish they had done it earlier.

Good luck.

Im most likely going to get a part time job because I still got to finish my last year of a 4 year long marathon called HIGHSCHOOl!!!!!! Which makes me happy..

But yea thanks for the advice , Im going to save up money.
So that I can atleast get the surgery in January of 2008.

How long does the surgery take? and how long do I have to stay in the hospital for healing?

Surgery's a couple of hours and you go home the same day.  You can go back to work/school in 2 or 3 days in most cases as long as you don't do strenuous activities.

Start doing your research now about a qualified doc.  Get free consultations and have them explain exactly what they plan to do to fix your gyne.  Find a doctor that you are comfortable communicating with.  That way, when you have the money, you will just have to write the check.
