For a 14 year old. I'm going to have to pay for half of my gynecomastia surgery which will probably be about 3000 dollars I have to come up with. I'm homeschooled, so I have a little bit more time on my hands to come up with this money. I live in a "uppity" neighborhood and they have landscaping crews that do the lawns and stuff so that isn't an option. I know one guy I can call up for some under the table work, but that's it at this point. I'd rather not work for a company (Publix is a popular choice for kids my age around here) because, being a youth, you are allowed to work very little during the week. So..... Any ideas? ???

PS: I don't need to come up with the money upfront. I may be able to borrow it from my uncle and pay him back in installments... Hopefully.

I honestly don't think by law you are old enough to work in corporate america anyhow. Other than a paper route or mowing lawns I wouldn't have a clue as to what you could do to make some money.

It varies by state. In Florida, legal working age is 14. I know in other states its as old as 16 I think... But I know this is true because i have a bunch of friends that are 14 that work in grocery stores, restaurants, and more places. As far as paper route, they do that by car here =/.

  • Had expensive surgery... Now I'm flat busted!
Maybe you could sell stuff on Ebay.   It's apparently pretty easy and cheap to get started and there are a lot of people making decent livings doing it.   As a matter of fact, I think you can go on Ebay and find people selling the info on how they started and got rich on their big Ebay businesses.
