I am from newfoudland and i was wondering if nfld medical covered the excision part of the surgery so it wouldnt run me upwards of four grand. I wrote newfoudnland medical and this is what they said:

"The surgery is covered only if there is overgrowth of breast tissue (not fatty tissue) for males undergoing hormonal therapy for genitourinary malignancy, hormonal disorders or genetic abnormalities.
Unless you have one of these conditions, it is not an insured service."
I have had this since i was around 8 yrs old! can anyone explain what the above statement means? thanks

It means that you must have gyno and under go medical treatment first for it to be covered.
Listen I did the same crap you mentioned. I had to get a referral to see a specialist to check my hormones then get another referral to see a surgeon. All this took several months :-/. By the time I could book a date with the surgeon I had to leave the country for work. Dont waste your time, your money and risk you breasts to an unexperienced surgeon. Call Fieldings office for a consultation. Come to T.O have some fun  :D and do it right.
My consultation is on the 25th.  ;D
