There are no guarantees, man. Thats life. Don't try to get any PS to say it will be perfect. If one does, I'd run in the other direction. It's art and science. Not that simple. My PS told me upfornt. "We cant hit homeruns everytime, but we try" The concept is to improve your life. Maybe you'll need a revision a year later, who knows. But it takes a lot of months to even get a final result. You need an open mind. There is no fast, perfect result. Best of luck.
Awesome post DCBR78!
"
There are no guarantees"
Yeah, aint-it-the-truth... Surgery is
very much a gamble my friend!
GRS is only a 'fix',
not a 'cure'... In the vast majority of cases, that 'fix' will
not be perfect. You have to have '
Realistic Expectations'. Most PS's will tell you that.
"The concept is to improve your life"Exactly! As mentioned above, your chest will probably not be 'perfect', but hopefully, your life will be
manageable with little-to-no stress/anxiety/paranoia related to Gynecomastia...
Impervious... there is a condition called B.D.D. (Body Dysmorphic Disorder). BDD is a condition where the individual 'thinks' that their body is 'just-not-right'. An example is an anorexic female. The sufferer sees her self as being 'fat' but in reality, she isn't. It's a psychological issue rather than a physical issue. I'm not saying that you have BDD, but I'm sure that there are many guys who want their chests "just-right". This probably raises a 'red flag' in the PS's mind. '
Oh-oh, this guy is going to be a trouble maker'. Ya know what I'm say'n here dude? PS's don't need the hassle...
Think about it this way.... if you bend the frame on your car, oopps, sorry... your truck (cars don't have frames anymore...) and you get it straightened, do you really think that the body shop will be able to fix it to the point as if it was never bent in the first place? Of course not. Your truck will driveable, yes, but it wont be 'perfect' like-brand-new. Same theory applies to
GRS. A PS can make it 'better' but most likely, cannot make it 'perfect' as if you never had Gynecomastia in the first place...
PS's are not Magicians/Wizards. They are mere mortals just like the rest of us. (Although some may beg to differ...
) PS's do not have a magic wand to wave over your chest and zap your m(o)(o)bs away...
