Surgery Tomorrow - and then there was light!

Howdy!

Tomorrow is the big day. I'll be undergoing 'BiLateral Excision for male breast reduction'
with Dr. Miguel Delgado first thing early in the morning.


To add to my climax, its boiling tomorrow [here in Bay Area]

arrrgh! a little more heat and i could evade surgery - i reckon the gyne would melt at that temperature

I would like to take this time, to thank all members of this Forum; who have contributed immensely to this
information repository of this once unheard-of topic. I wouldn't have considered surgery if it weren't for this
Forum - i guess i was too naive about this condition.  Last but not least... thanks to Merle! who started it all.

how'd it go

Just as I had imagined I was in and out within 3.5 hrs. Slept well.
Just slight discomfort where the drains are hooked.
Milking the drains is a pain in the ass now, but am getting there. My first
post-op is on Wednesday - that kinda sucks because thats about 1 week
with drains on

Thanks man! I'll keep u guys posted.
Right now, i am not taking any pain medications and doing ok.
I am draining little (5ml) on my left side, and a little more (20ml) on my right.
This is a lot less than what i drained yesterday. What concerns me is, my left
side is draining an almost pink serum (which is a good sign); but my right side
is still draining blood (cherry red). Does anyone has something to say about this?

are u bruised badly? also how exactly do these drains look, are they like tubes or something...do they stick out..

From what i know - drains help in quick recovery by reducing swelling, preventing hemotoma build-up.
